Leaders and key teachers have embarked upon meeting with students to design their Flight Path. Using a range of choices in each subject, student choose how their learning journey will develop over their time at Ashcroft School and beyond. The direction of the choices made are chosen with the students’ aspirations and desired post-16 destination.
All students receive approximately 20% of their timetable as Enrichment experiences. These experiences rely on the skillset of our staff and the variety of our partners that nourish our growing list of enrichment choices. A range of choices are offered that cover a wide range of areas of interest.
The Student Council are encouraged to suggest ideas that could be planned around. Should new staff arrive at Ashcroft School, they are encouraged to participate or offer a learning experience based on their skillset.
Through the application, pre-admittance and induction process, a learning pathway is established for every student. The learning pathway defines the level of support and direction that a student experiences. Students are encouraged and supported to progress through the learning pathways to become independent, high achievers.
