Recycle and raise money with the Together Trust

If you have unused clothes, accessories or tech laying around at home, why not donate them and raise money for our life-changing services across Greater Manchester?

Save items from the landfill and use sustainable fundraising to change lives in your community!

Ways to recycle with us…

Donate unwanted clothes and shoes any time of the year with our NEW clothes bin located at our central offices in Cheadle.

See what we can accept in terms of clothing donations by clicking below:

Our declutter and donate events take place every last Monday of the month throughout the year.

Donate any preloved or new items that have been cluttering up your wardrobes, drawers or cupboards – all items donated are then weighed and collected by Clothes4Collection under their fabric recycling scheme.

laptops

Declutter your kitchen drawers and donate old phones, consoles and laptops.

It’s a great way to raise money for charity as part of Recycling for Good Causes.

Donate clean plastic lids to create beautiful art pieces / murals with local CIC Plastic Shed. Donation stations are located in our Inscape House School to incorporate recycling and sustainability into our students’ workplace.

We will also be collecting lids at our regular Declutter and Donate events so please feel free to bring these along.

Corporate recycling scheme

We’re looking to local and national businesses to help us with two of our recycling initiatives.

Donate surplus stock and support our online retail platforms and Pop Up Shops

We’re on the lookout for good quality clothes and accessories to support our retail initiatives.

Donate old unwanted tech

Upgraded your team’s tech recently or have an abundance of unused company phones? We can help you recycle these and raise money for our charity.

Enquire with our fundraising team for more info: jenny.grumbill@togethertrust.org.uk

At our Declutter and Donate events, we invite members of the public to donate clothing and soft toys in varying conditions to the fundraising team.

We then sort through all donations and separate out the items that are in saleable condition – this includes items that still have tags on and items that are in nearly new / very good condition. These are then listed over time on our online shops and taken to in person events or pop-up shops.

Anything remaining that isn’t in a saleable condition will be donated to our red clothing bin and collected by our collection company, Clothes4Collection. All clothes donated are recycled to textile companies to recycle fabrics and improve our eco footprint by preventing as much as possible from going to landfill.

Other ways to support us

Aerial shot of runners competing in the London Marathon, wearing brightly coloured bibs whilst running down a grey road.

Whether you are into running, cycling, swimming or anything in between, we have a range of challenge events for you to take on and raise vital funds for the Together Trust.

Giving in celebration is a wonderful way to support our charity – whether that’s at your wedding, birthday or honouring a loved one.

We run events throughout the year for you to come along to – from family crafts or Paint and Sip for the adults, to our flagship Join Together Festival in July.
