Inscape House School, one of the Together Trust's specialist education settings, which looks after young people with autism, has teamed up with the premium restaurant chain Gusto in Cheadle Hulme to offer our students an 8-week work placement in the hospitality industry.

On 20 March we responded to the Transport Select Committee’s inquiry on accessible transport, which was set up to find ways to make different modes of transport, public and private, more accessible to disabled people and those with access needs. 

Sleep is a biological necessity for humans. We all do it, although some more than others, and we spend around a third of our lives asleep, which highlights just how important it must be. However, it’s not something that we all protect in the same way that we ringfence time for exercise or socialising.

Independent Woman’s Day was on 8 March. This year the theme was #EmbraceEquity. Bridge College wants a world where diversity, equity, and inclusivity are celebrated. A world where difference is valued. Independent Woman's Day is a wonderful opportunity to learn and foster an environment where together, we can forge women's equality.

Here at the Together Trust, we are proud to support LGBTQ+ individuals and couples wanting to foster. We are a New Family Social member and take pride in making sure every individual or family going through the fostering process with us is treated equally and with respect. 

A superstar student from Inscape House School, a specialist school supporting children and young people with autism, came second in the National SEN Gymnastics virtual competitions run by Authority Sports UK.

We speak to a couple who have fostered children with the Together Trust for the last two years to hear about their experience of fostering as a same-sex couple.

Paul, one of our former students at Inscape House School returned to school to talk to the current pupils about his journey after graduating.  

Last year, one of our residential services, Haines House, kicked off an exciting sustainable project, along with the young people’s parents and the local community. After gaining access to a local allotment near the care home in Salford, our colleagues took the opportunity to combine good exercise with a fun learning activity and get the people we support involved in growing their own fruit and vegetables.
