At Bridge College, we prepare our students for all aspects of adulthood, from community life to independent, healthy living and the world of work. We want everyone to leave feeling confident for their future.
Supported internships help students with an EHCP learn the skills they need to progress to paid employment. We partner with different employers to create a fully supported, hands-on training programme for young people aged 16 to 25.
We’re currently taking applications from students to start a supported internship in September 2022.
Everyday, our students develop their work skills and self confidence. This might be through practicing task-based routines and following instructions. Or by testing out their new skills at our college print shop and café. We can also support students to develop on-the-job training through work placements with community based partners.
Our students really care about their community. Over the years they’ve got involved in fundraising events, volunteering and work experience that benefits the community. We’re proud of what our young people can achieve and like to showcase their talents through exhibitions, performances and work with community partners.
