At Bridge College, students can prepare for the world of work through our work skills, work experience and supported internship programme. We want everyone to leave feeling confident for their future.
Supported Internships help students with an EHCP learn the skills they need to progress to paid employment. We partner with different employers to create a fully supported, hands-on training programme for young people aged 16 to 25.
A supported internship will give you a better chance of getting a paid job in the workplace – there might even be a job waiting for you with your employer! We’re currently taking applications from students to start a supported internship in September 2020.
If you're an employer in Greater Manchester and are interested in providing an internship placement, we'd love to hear from you.
Everyday, our students develop their work skills and self confidence. This might be through practicing task-based routines and following instructions. Or by testing out their new skills at our college print shop and café. We can also support students to develop on-the-job training through work placements with community based partners.
Our students really care about their community. Over the years they’ve got involved in fundraising events, volunteering and work experience that benefits the community. We’re proud of what our young people can achieve and like to showcase their talents through exhibitions, performances and work with community partners.
