What we’re looking for

We’re looking for people who share our vision; to build a society where people thrive because they are valued within their communities. If you feel passionately about equality, fairness, and everyone having the right to a happy, fulfilled life, you’re already one of us.

At Together Trust, we place a huge emphasis on care, so what ever your role you’ll be compassionate, empathetic and dedicated to helping Together Trust care for all those we work with. In return, you can expect to be valued and looked after as an important member of our team.

We’re always looking to learn and improve, so you’ll be eager to develop and grow in whatever role you have, and will be keen to take advantage of the training and development programmes we offer.

Every day is different at Together Trust, and you’ll be supporting people to live the very best life they possibly can. And you’ll be supported too by an understanding team, and a charity who values and cares for you.

We also love to hear from people from all walks of life, and who can bring their own personality and individuality to a role

What we offer

Our values are at the heart of what we do at the Together Trust and being ‘Supportive’ of everyone; our staff teams, the people we support and their families, is important to us all.

We are continually evolving to meet the needs of the people we support, and we work hard to make sure our colleagues and leaders have the necessary skills to succeed now and in the future.

  • As well as building on your existing skills, we can create opportunities for you to reskill in many areas of the workplace.
  • And by enabling the right technology, we deliver an engaging and accessible learner experience helping you to develop your careers in the Trust.
  • We also recognise the importance of developing great leaders at all levels to give a more engaging and consistent colleague experience.

There’s always something to learn at the Together Trust.  Our in-house workshops, one-on-one coaching and online courses will help you to build your skills capabilities at every level.

We recognise that the biggest influence on your personal development comes from within and we therefore encourage our colleagues to be confident and bold – taking advantage of the range of opportunities we offer.

We provide:

Comprehensive Induction

We provide a comprehensive and individualised induction.  Using a blended learning approach with face to face and virtual instructor led sessions as well as e-learning modules, we help provide you with the basics you’ll need to help prepare when joining your particular service with confidence.

Online Learning Platform

You can take real ownership of your development with easy access to a wide range of e-learning modules on our online learning platform.  This gives you the opportunity to learn at your own pace, develop your knowledge and skills and keep track of your progress as you go.

Our learning platform also supports you in growing your career with us, through personal development, building skills and confidence in your existing role, or taking steps towards your future ambitions.

Leadership Development

We know that good leaders are key to our success, supporting us to learn, develop and grow and continue to provide exceptional care for the people we support.  This year our development programmes will equip our leaders at all levels to support their diverse teams in changing and uncertain times. The learning will cover a range of skills and behaviours set in our Trust values, equipping our managers to build inclusive cultures where everyone feels welcome and can thrive.

Accredited Learning

We’ve always supported colleagues of all ages with opportunities to continue their education and build skills for their future at the Trust. Our accredited learning programmes offer you the chance to develop your skills, knowledge, and confidence with a range of qualifications from Level 2 to Degree Level.

No matter who you are or what your role, there are a range of opportunities for you to develop yourself and your career at Together Trust.

A guide to our recruitment process

Your application

To view our vacancies firstly select the area you wish to work in. Then search by role and location, or simply browse the full list of vacancies. Click on the role you’re interested in to see the full advert, then click ‘apply’ to complete our online application.

Shortlisting

We shortlist as we receive applications and we’ll contact you as soon as we are able to. Once the application window has closed, we’ll review all applications and shortlist potential candidates. For some roles, the hiring manager will give you a call to chat through your application before inviting you to interview.

Selection process

We use a wide range of selection tools which are dependent on the role you apply for. This could involve an interview, presentation or some other relevant activity. We will let you know with plenty of time so you are able to prepare.

Making an offer

If we’re a good fit for each other, we’ll give you a call to make you an offer. All offers are conditional subject to references and DBS checks, so we won’t be able to give you a start date right away. But we can kick off the onboarding process to start bringing you into the team.

Onboarding

During onboarding, we’ll put you in touch with a member of the HR team and run through all the necessary checks like DBS and referencing. You’ll have someone to call if you have any questions along the way. You can help speed up the onboarding process by making sure your references are in place.

Top tips to help your application go smoothly

  • Get your references in place, speak to them in advance so they know our request will be coming.
  • Let us know of any issues that might pop up on your DBS certificate, however minor they may seem. Even simple things may show up, but if we know to expect that it shouldn’t slow things down.
  • Have you lived or worked abroad for 3+ months in the last 5 years? If so, you’ll need to provide a Good Code of Conduct. You can apply for one of these from the embassy of the country you were resident in.
