Bridge Fest 2024: A day of unforgettable fun and celebration

15 July 2024

What an incredible day it was at BridgeFest 2024! The excitement was palpable as Bridge College students came together to celebrate their achievements at the end of the academic year.

Set in Bridge College's grounds, this annual event kicked off with students eagerly collecting their wristbands and diving into a plethora of activities. From thrilling fun fair games and engaging sports activities to creative face painting, calming meditation sessions, and hands-on crafting, there was something for everyone. The day was made even more special with a visit from Stitch, the amazing bearded dragon from Inscape School House, who charmed everyone with her presence.

One of the day's most talked-about highlights was the chance to throw wet sponges at Adam Proctor, the Assistant Principal, who gamely took his place in the stocks. The students aimed, threw, and succeeded, much to their delight!

After a delicious lunch, the stalls were cleared away, and the students gathered for an afternoon packed with entertainment. Josh, one of our talented students, took to the stage with a captivating performance about his favourite team, Manchester United. His rendition of "Glory Glory Man United!" had everyone singing along, creating a fantastic atmosphere of unity and joy. The stage then opened up for karaoke, where students showcased their vocal talents, singing their favourite songs and shining like stars.

The fun didn't stop there! The energy levels soared as staff and students joined Hannah Payton for a lively and exhilarating Zumba class, dancing and moving to the beat with infectious enthusiasm.

Zena, our Curriculum Lead, summed up the day perfectly:

“It’s such a pleasure to see the students taking part in all the different activities and seeing the huge smiles on their faces. A huge thank you to all staff that helped to make the day such a success.”

BridgeFest 2024 was truly a day to remember, filled with laughter, joy, and unforgettable moments. Here's to many more celebrations like this in the future!
