Festive fun at Inscape House School

29 December 2022

Inscape House School knows how to throw a Christmas party! Over the last week of term, students got to meet Father Christmas, get temporary tattoos, raise funds for the school and more.

There is plenty going on at Inscape House School across the year, but the winter holidays are a little more special. The school kicked off the celebrations earlier this month with a visit from Dancer and Comet, Santa’s friendliest reindeers.

Find out what else we’ve been busy with this December:

Christmas fair

On 16 December, Inscape House School hosted its traditional Christmas fair, with more than 10 stalls in the school hall. From fun raffles and games to handmade biscuits and festive cards, the fair was well attended and a great way to demonstrate our learners’ art and crafts skills.

Visitors had the chance to choose from a variety of festive gifts and stocking fillers, designed by the pupils, while helping raise funds for the school.

Christmas Disco

On 21 December, last day of school before the break, it was time for a party. Students enjoyed Christmassy songs, treats and even Christmassy temporary tattoos!

Staff put on their best elf and reindeer costumes, and prepared a selection of delicious snacks along with the best Christmas tunes from Mariah and more to celebrate the end of term. Students too brought out their snazziest Christmas jumpers to get into the festive mood.

Santa’s Grotto

On the same day at the Disco, Father Christmas decided to stop by and set up a workshop in the school. Our young people could visit to Santa’s Grotto where every visitor sat down to chat about their wish list. Father Christmas was very diligent and took notes of everyone’s wishes, and handed out a selection box of chocolates to everyone. Queues for Santa’s Grotto could be seen stretching all the way down the the main hall!

It was the perfect way to get everyone together to have a dance and celebrate together before everyone goes home for Christmas.
We hope all students and staff have a fantastic break and we can’t wait to see you all in the new year! Well done, team Inscape House School!
