We got help from 41 amazing volunteers.
-
We received donations from 17 generous companies and organisations!
Lucy, Head of Fundraising says “I am so incredibly proud of my team and what they were able to achieve for the people we support this Christmas. Despite the rising cost of living, not a single person who requested a gift went without. We provided supermarket vouchers for the most vulnerable so no one had to choose between gifts and food this year. They arranged for the trees in our residential children’s homes to be professionally decorated, panto tickets for nearly 60 children, chocolates, crumpets, pancakes, gifts, toiletries…the list goes on. An amazing group of ladies who go above and beyond every single day”
Where did your donations go?
Our services have requested a fantastic number of 416 gifts for the young people and adults in their care. We try to match presents with their unique interests. While some of our children received toys and chocolates kindly donated by local stores, the Roughley’s bikers and kind supporters, others received vouchers and presents tailored for their interests and age group.
Cash donations were also hugely important, because they enabled us to fund vouchers that go towards care leavers and families on pupil premium so that they can afford a nice Christmas meal. This year, your donations helped 80 care leavers and families have an easier winter.
Gift wrapping experts
Every year we put out corporate volunteers to the test to see how good their gift-wrapping skills are. And every year they impress us, not only with their kindness, but with the enthusiasm and humour that they bring to our toy workshop. Huge thank you to all our volunteers coming from Mitie, Softcat, Department for Energy Security & Net Zero, L’oreal, Bupa, Gallaghers, and Vernon Building Society.
On LinkedIn, Ant one of our amazing volunteers from Gallaghers shares “It was amazing to see just how much hard work and effort they put in to ensure EVERYONE gets a gift this Christmas and be part of that. I truly enjoyed every minute of it”
There are not enough words to thank this kind team of volunteers for everything they’ve done for our Christmas Together appeal and for all our services throughout the year.
If you want to join Together Trust’s team of volunteers get in touch.
However, the volunteers weren’t the only ones who got to showcase their skill. Our very own fundraising team got to show off during the Christmas Gift Wrapping event at the Trafford Centre. For an entire afternoon they got to be the Elves in Chief at the wrapping station in the shopping centre raising money for our services.
Our amazing supporters
We’ve been collecting toys at Christmas for disadvantaged children and families in the Greater Manchester area for as long as anyone can remember. We love our Greater Manchester community and we couldn't do the amazing work that we do without them.
This year we were lucky to receive help in all shapes and forms (like chocolates, concert tickets, toys, handcrafted jumpers, Christmas trees, and more!) from some amazing companies, groups and organisations: Lidl in Cheadle Hulme, Tesco in Stockport and Cheadle, Co-Op in Cheadle, Jolly Sailor in Davenport, The Altrincham Garrick Playhouse, Ewenique, Rach's Wellness Loft, PS Recruitment, UDP, Kingsmill, John Sisk & Son, Davenport Methodist Church, Dunelm in Stockport, Fence Club Trust, John Lewis, Hot Lotus, L'Oreal, Mission Christmas and the amazing Roughley's Bikers.
If you believe everyone deserves a chance at life, get involved and stand together with the people we support. Our Christmas appeal is now closed but you can still donate to support our services.
