Together Trust Heads to Parliament: SEND Transitions in Focus

by Styliana Pasiardi, Policy and Campaigns Manager
10 January 2025

On Wednesday 8 January, we proudly held the parliamentary launch of our joint project with National Star: What Comes After Education for Young People with SEND.

Explore the report and support our recommendations here.

An opportunity for change

The event marked a pivotal moment to raise awareness about the challenges young people with SEND face as they transition from education into adulthood.

MPs, politicians, and representatives from external organisations came together to hear directly about the barriers these young people encounter and the urgent need for reform in adult social care and support systems.

This event was not just about sharing our findings; it was about driving action. We called on policymakers, advocates, and communities to address systemic failures and create pathways that empower young people with SEND to thrive.

Write to your MP

You can help make an impact. Using our easy form, send a letter to your MP to ask them to read the report and support our recommendations. Together, we can ensure young people have the right to lead fulfilling lives.

We envision a future where young people with SEND transition from education to adulthood with hope, independence, and opportunity. By addressing gaps in support, we can ensure these young people are valued and included in our communities. Together, we can build a society where no one is left behind.
