We’ve recently started building work over at Bridge College in Openshaw, our college offering specialist education for students aged 16 to 25 with learning difficulties, disabilities, complex health needs and autism.
The extension work includes a partial first-floor addition and changes to the existing ground floor layout which will provide four new classrooms and allow the college to increase the number of students it can support.

It will allow Bridge College to offer more specialist teaching spaces and improve access to education for students across the Greater Manchester area.
“Over the past four years, the college has received a consistently high number of learner referrals, highlighting a clear need for more specialist further education provision in Greater Manchester. The new classrooms will be designed to be accessible and welcoming, with layouts that support a range of learning needs.”
Adam Proctor, Bridge College Assistant Principal
The new classrooms will be designed to be accessible and welcoming, with layouts that support a range of learning needs. Easy access to outdoor space has also been considered, helping to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
