Inscape Careers Education

Research from the National Autistic Society shows that only 22% of autistic adults are in full-time work. Together we can change that.

We recognise the importance of providing our students, parents and guardians with access to careers information in preparation for future transitions.

Work experience is an integral part of our curriculum and we’re always looking for employers to offer a work experience placement for a few hours each week.

Careers advice

We host a range of events where a wide variety of employers offer impartial careers advice to students and/or their parents.

Students learn about different professions, the world of work and explore different career pathways. Some of our recent fairs and events include:

  • Parents Career Afternoon
  • STEAM Career Day
  • Animal welfare industry

Work experience

Through the Inscape employability programme, we organise placements for students with employers from across Greater Manchester that align with their areas of interest.

These placements develop our students' confidence, practical skills, and gives them invaluable experience of working life. Some of our recent placements include:

  • Gusto
  • Dunham Massey
  • LSH Auto UK
