Meridian took advantage of the last of the warm weather before autumn started to throw their first fun day for the residents they support, their families, and some former residents now in their 20s!

Meridian is one of our amazing short-breaks services, giving families a chance to recharge their batteries. We’ve put a lot of love into designing our short breaks homes to create warm, friendly and nurturing spaces for the young people we support. They really are a home from home.

Our homes are lively places where children and young people get the opportunity to make friends, have fun, and experience new things. And because we have such a big community, the team have decided to throw an inclusive fun day and invite not only our current residents, their families, and former residents, but also some of their friends from Woodlands, our other short-breaks home.

Families got a tour of our newly refurbished rooms and the beautiful garden, recently renovated after months of fundraising and plenty of kind donations helped us to afford the cost of the modernisation. And everyone was invited to take part in activities: from our very own bouncy castle, to a surprise visit from Oopsy Daisy, lucky dips, garden games, hook a duck, movie time,

It was a joyous celebration to mark the end of summer and the weather was on our side!
