Woodlands and Meridian, who of our short breaks residential homes for children with complex needs, have recently been able to modernise and refurbish parts of their home thanks to generous donations from local organisations.
We are incredibly grateful for all the support and sponsorship we receive from kind people local to us – it means the world for us to be able to have these partnerships.

Woodlands
Romiley Golf Club donated a fantastic £6975 to our short-breaks service, part of which went towards the sensory room, allowing us to fill the sensory room with brand new equipment and really transform the space for the children we support, turning it into a fun and enriching space.
They spent a year fundraising including a hugely successful golf day and Clarins night, on top of lots of other fundraisers. They worked incredibly hard and their donation is making a huge impact at the home.
The team at Woodlands say “Our young people see this as a space for calmness, comfort and a safe space to relax and enjoy. This is a space well used for our young people to self-regulate by enjoying the mood lighting, music, bubble walls whilst also watching their favourite Disney films or pop star on the big white screen.”
Big thanks to everyone at Romiley Golf club for your incredibly kind donation.

Meridian
Romiley and Marple Lions Club have donated £750 over the last 3 years going towards the Meridian Garden Project – helping modernise the garden for our home.
Thanks to their £500 donation we were able to get a beautiful wooden gazebo that will be an oasis of calm for our young residents in the summer months.
Clare and Caroline, staff members at the home, talked to the Lions Club members about the impact the gazebo has had for the young people that use the service which was really touching to hear.
Big thank you to the Lion President Phil Daniels and Lion Secretary Bill Spencer, as well as everyone else at the club!
