Bridge College hosts exciting 2024 Swimming Gala

The Manchester Aquatics Centre, known for its Olympic-sized swimming pool, provided a perfect backdrop for the event.

The atmosphere was charged with excitement as the teams prepared to dive into a series of nine races, featuring various styles such as backstroke, front crawl, and an exhilarating relay race.

The competition kicked off with a bang, setting a high standard for the day. A standout moment was James from Bridge College, whose exceptional speed in the water was a highlight of the morning. Congratulations, James!

We are thrilled to announce that Piper Hill emerged as the overall winners of the gala.

A heartfelt congratulations to the entire team!

Each participant was awarded certificates and the winning team was presented the 2024 trophy. They will display it in their college until next year's competition.  

Chole, Bridge College Sports Tutor commented, 

"It was a wonderful event and a great achievement for all the participating students. We're hoping more teams will get involved next year." 

It was a fantastic event, and seeing all the participants excel in such a prestigious setting was truly inspiring. We are already looking forward to next year's gala and can't wait to see what these amazing students will achieve next!
