Spooktacular success: Together Trust raises nearly £1,000 this Halloween

The Together Trust brought creativity, colour, and a touch of Halloween magic to the North West last month with two fang-tastic fundraising events, raising almost £1,000 to support its life-changing work across the region.

Between the two events – the Halloween Together Pumpkin Painting & Craft Event for children and families, and the Halloween Sip & Paint evening for adults, our charity raised an incredible £990.98, all in support of its 40+ services helping hundreds of young people and adults with autism, disabilities, and special health needs.

A family day full of colour and creativity

The first of the two events was all about the little ones, and their imaginations did not disappoint! Budding artists spent the day decorating and painting pumpkins in every colour and style imaginable. Some opted for pretty pink pumpkins adorned with rhinestones, others went all-out spooky with bats and ghosts, while a few went for traditional harvest designs that would make any doorstep proud.

Children also got hands-on with mask decorating, colouring books, balloon games, and plenty of glittery crafts, creating a joyful and inclusive atmosphere for families to enjoy together.

No Halloween celebration would be complete without delicious treats, and the event’s catering was once again provided by the wonderful Nellie’s Kitchen. Nellie, who dressed up in her signature witch costume, transformed her van into a Halloween wonderland and served themed bakes that delighted kids and adults alike.

The event raised £545.98, helping to fund vital Together Trust services across the North West.

A grown-up evening of paint, drinks, and laughter

The fun continued later in the week with the Together Trust’s Halloween Paint & Sip, a relaxed evening event designed for adults to unleash their inner artist, with a drink in hand. Hosted in partnership with The Thirsty Filly, guests enjoyed a choice of wines, beers, cocktails, and soft drinks as they followed guided painting sessions and created their own Halloween-themed masterpieces.

Each attendee received an A4 canvas donated by Daler Rowney, along with all the paints and brushes needed to bring their spooky visions to life.

One guest summed up the night perfectly:

“Who knew a little drink (Pimms in my case) and a blank canvas could turn into laughter and creativity? Being led from drawing an outline to the finished painted piece was super helpful. Sip & Paint was a masterpiece of fun!”

The evening raised £445, and more importantly, filled the room with laughter, conversation, and a strong sense of community spirit.

The Together Trust has been supporting people with disabilities, autism, and complex health needs for over 150 years, offering a wide range of education, care, and community services. Every pound raised from these Halloween events will go directly toward sustaining and developing these vital services, ensuring the charity can continue to help people live the lives they choose.

We extended our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended, donated, or supported in any way – from families who joined the pumpkin painting fun to those who swapped their brushes for cocktails at Sip & Paint. A Together Trust spokesperson said:

“We’re so grateful to everyone who joined us and made both events such a success. It was fantastic to see our community come together, have fun, and make a real difference for the people we support.”

With creativity, community, and compassion at the heart of it all, this year’s Halloween celebrations were truly spooktacular, and a reminder that when people come together, magic really does happen.
