Sleep Tight Northamptonshire
Sleep Tight Northamptonshire provides specialist one-to-one sleep clinics for parents of children and young people aged 2-18 years who are experiencing sleep difficulties.
If you’re a parent or carer living in Northamptonshire, we are here to help you with your child’s sleep.

What we offer
Our sleep practitioners work with you to create a personalised sleep plan for your child so everyone can get a good night’s sleep. We’ve also got loads of information and advice available online to support families who are struggling with sleep.
In order to access Sleep Tight Northamptonshire, the following criteria apply:
- Children and young people must be aged between 2-18 years
- The child or young person has special education needs or disabilities (SEND) or has a diagnosis of autism or ADHD
- Families must be registered with a Northamptonshire GP or be a resident of Northamptonshire
If you’re a professional and would like to make a referral for a parent or carer whose child is struggling with sleep problems, please fill in our enquiry form.
Please note that our sleep support plans involve behaviour-based interventions and include support around sleep hygiene and sleep strategies. We cannot prescribe or recommend Melatonin and have no involvement with prescribing.
Our appointments
To access our Sleep Tight Northamptonshire service, you’ll need a referral from professionals working in the health, education or local authority sectors. Please note that parent and carer referrals are not accepted for this service.
Clinic appointments are offered via video consultation (Zoom) or telephone. Our clinics book up quickly so families may be invited to join our waiting list for an appointment.

Who can book an appointment?
Professionals working in the health, education and local authority sectors can refer onto our service.
If English is an additional language, we may be able to offer a translation service.
Where and when do appointments take place?
Clinic appointments take place throughout the year and you can self-refer for an appointment at any time.
Appointments take place on Zoom or by phone. You can state your preference when you refer.
How do I book an appointment?
Referrals will only be accepted by professionals working in the health/education/local authority sectors. If you are a professional, please fill in our form here.
Parent and carer referrals are not accepted for this service. If you are a parent or carer, please speak to your relevant health/education/local authority professional.
How long do appointments last?
Appointments last up to one hour.
Does my child need to attend the appointment?
No, you don’t need to bring your child to the appointment.
Our sleep practitioners work with you to discuss your child’s needs and habits and create a personalised sleep plan for you to take away.
What happens during/after an appointment?
At the appointment, we’ll look at some of the factors that affect sleep and look at strategies that can help children or young people to sleep well. Following the appointment, families will be given a personalised sleep programme for their child or young person and we will arrange follow-up appointments to discuss how things are progressing.

No, there is no cost to access our Sleep Tight Northamptonshire services.

Training for professionals
We are running monthly online training sessions for professionals who work within Northamptonshire.
If you are a professional who works with parents and carers of children with SEND (universal, targeted and specialist levels) and would like to attend one of the training sessions, please email: sleeptraining@togethertrust.org.uk
