Local bikers bring Christmas magic to the Together Trust

Last Sunday, local bikers dressed as Santa and his elves delivered gifts to the Together Trust campus in Cheadle during the thrilling annual Christmas toy run.

A dazzling convoy of motorbikes, scooters, and trikes covered in glitter and tinsel delivered 652 presents. The annual event raised £674.71 on the day and £4,366.53 in gift donations.

Wendy Royle, Senior Residential Support Worker at Ventnor, one of our care homes for children with emotional and behavioural difficulties, shares:

“The young people and staff from Ventnor loved meeting the Roughley Bikers, enjoying cakes, and checking out the cool costumes and bikes. We even got our own Roughley Biker Badge!”

“It’s amazing they’ve been supporting the Together Trust for 24 years. We can’t wait to see what special surprise they have for their 25th anniversary next year!”

This heartwarming event has been spreading joy for 24 years now, with Andy Roughley and his friends also bringing happiness at Easter.

Sarah Sikora, Fundraiser at the Together Trust, shared that Roughley’s efforts for the Christmas Appeal are a highlight of the year:

“Every year Roughley’s bikers go above and beyond for our Christmas Appeal! Watching them arrive on the bikes decorated and dressed up for the festive season is truly a highlight of our year. We are so grateful that they have been doing this for so long and appreciate their continued support. Without their generosity our Christmas Appeal would not be as successful as it always is.”
