Do you offer school meals?

Mealtime is a great opportunity for students to practice their social skills, eat healthily and try out new food. All school meals are provided by the school now, so there is no extra cost to the parents/carers. However, you can bring your own packed lunch, if you like.

Can you administer my child’s medicine?

Yes, but only with written permission from a parent or carer. Medication must be in its original packaging with dosage information, and passed to a member of staff at the beginning of the school day. Students should not bring over-the-counter medicines into school.

Do you have a school uniform?

We do have a school uniform for Ashcroft School and School House. We expect students to arrive at school suitably dressed. We ask students to wear:

  • black trousers or skirt
  • plain white polo or shirt or blouse – no logos allowed

How do you support parents and carers?

We want all parents and carers to be involved. It makes a big difference to student achievement. So we’re here to support you and strengthen links between home and school to give each child every chance at success. We host regular progress evenings to share teacher feedback. We’ll send you progress reports at the end of each term and as part of annual reviews. And we welcome you to visit or call us at any time. We’ll also invite you to share assemblies, celebrations and any achievements made.

Admissions

We accept direct enquiries from parents and carers, as well as referrals from healthcare professionals. Visit our how to apply page for more information.

Student support

Behind every challenging behaviour is an underlying root cause.
