Noah has always been a roller coaster enthusiast – so when he saw an ad for Supported Internships at Gulliver’s World theme park in Warrington, he knew he’d be perfect for it.
For the past year, Noah has been part of our current cohort of Supported interns at the beloved theme park, a scheme run by Bridge College in collaboration with the family-owned Gulliver’s World.
He’s been helping all over the park. He says “We do a range of things ranging from cleaning rides to litter picking, sweeping leaves off the pavement, helping out in the shops by arranging stock, just all sorts around the park to add that little bit of extra help.”
But as a theme park enthusiast, his heart had always been set on one day being able to operate a ride.
After months of hard work, determination, training, assessments and observations, Noah has achieved something truly incredible: he is now a solo ride operator.
He has earned the trust, confidence and skills to operate rides independently.
Every morning, Noah attends his employability session before heading straight to the staff briefing, just like every other member of the team. He finds out which ride he’ll be operating that day, puts on his uniform with pride, and gets to work doing a job he absolutely loves.
Jemma Golden, Supported Internship Lead says “Every so often, a moment comes along that reminds me exactly why Supported Internships change lives… and today is one of those moments.
To think that not so long ago this was simply a dream, and now he’s on the doorstep of turning it into his career, is nothing short of phenomenal.”

Award-winning programme
Our Supported Internship Programme, has recently been recognised as Employment Provider of the Year at the DFN Project Search HQ Awards 2026.
And now, the team has another success to celebrate!
As they get closer to the end of the Supported Internships programme, our group of interns have started booking interviews hoping to secure paid employment for the future.
Supported Internships provide an amazing opportunity for disabled and autistic young people to gain valuable work experience in a real life setting, get familiar with workplaces and most importantly, gain the confidence needed to achieve their dreams.
