BTEC Hair & Beauty

The hair and beauty programme is ideal for those who are looking for a career in the hair and beauty industry.

The hair and beauty industry is exciting and diverse. If you love to creatively express yourself through hair and makeup and aspire to work in the hair and beauty industry, this is the perfect route for you.

This course is designed to provide a foundation that enables you to progress further in this sector. We’ll teach you practical skills, such as hair styling and manicures, as well as personal and social skills, such as dealing with clients.

BTEC Health & Social Care

Working in the health and social care industry is incredibly rewarding. Whether it is working in a clinical setting or community based, this course will provide opportunities to develop your understanding of the sector and progression routes.

These qualifications have been designed to help learners understand the skills and knowledge needed to work in the sector and to develop practical skills in preparation for employment or progression into further education.

BTEC Sport

BTEC Sport can help you take your first steps towards a career in sport and fitness.

You’ll learn essential skills such as training for personal fitness, encouraging sports participation, and organising and leading events and activities.

BTEC Digital Media

Digital Media serves as a broad introduction to digital media. Over the year, learners have an opportunity to learn about the media industry and the many different digital media sectors that make up the industry.

The course focuses on building the foundation skills that the learners will use on various creative media projects, such as shooting films and animations, designing magazine covers, producing a radio show, building a video game and many more. 

Additional learning

Learners will access a 12–16hrs timetable with the opportunity to study functional English and Maths Entry level 3 to Level 2 (GCSE grade 4 equivalent).

A combination of PSHE and personal development will also be included within the curriculum to support learners with the development of life skills, social skills, and independence skills, to improve confidence and self-esteem.

Learners are also supported to access work placements and opportunities for employment.
