Eden Hair and Beauty Salon
At Inscape Vocational College, we are a small, nurturing post-16 provision supporting students with SEND. Our Hair and Beauty Salon provides students with valuable opportunities to develop vocational skills, confidence, independence, and employability within a realistic workplace environment.
The salon offers a range of services, including:
- Hair washing and blow dries
- Hair styling
- Mini facials
- Manicures
- BIAB nails
- Makeup services
Students work towards a BTEC Level 1 Award in Hair and Beauty while gaining hands-on experience delivering treatments in a professional salon setting. Throughout their training, students develop excellent communication and interpersonal skills, learn industry standards, and provide high-quality services under the guidance and supervision of qualified professionals.
We are currently undertaking an exciting refurbishment and rebranding project aimed at modernising our salon and expanding our client base. Our vision is to operate in line with mainstream college salons by welcoming members of the public to access affordable, high-quality treatments while supporting the development of our students.
By increasing community engagement and establishing a sustainable service, we aim to generate income that can be reinvested into salon products, equipment, and resources. This will ensure that our students continue to access industry-relevant training opportunities in a professional and aspirational environment, preparing them for future employment and greater independence.
