Our response to coronavirus (COVID-19)
We are committed to keeping the people we support and our workforce safe and healthy.
Our priority has always been to minimise the risk of exposure to coronavirus (COVID-19). The commitment, flexibility and hard work of our colleagues has meant that they and the people we support are being kept healthy and safe.
We will continue to follow the latest government guidance to help inform our decision-making and aim to limit the impact on our services. The wellbeing of the people we support and our colleagues is at the centre of our planning.
We have made the difficult decision to close our Newbridge and SK30 day services, youth clubs and community outreach services as of 24.03.20. Newbridge, The Hub and SK30 are continuing to provide support for individuals whose carers are key workers. We understand the impact that this may have for some of the people we support. However, we feel that this is a necessary step to take to support the government measures to reduce the potential risk of infection and support government guidance.
Our schools and colleges remain open to vulnerable students or whose parents are key workers.
Events and fundraising activities
Like nearly all charities we have made the regrettable decision to postpone our major public events and fundraising activities. This includes, the Lowry Music Festival on 1 July and the Awards Ceremony at MCFC on 16 July and Join Together Festival on Saturday 25 July.
The 2020 Virgin Money London Marathon has been postponed until Sunday 4 October 2020. The Manchester Marathon has also been postponed. If you are a Team Together Trust runner, you should have received an email from us with further details. Our fundraising team will be in touch with more information.
Why your support matters now more than ever
When you give to us, you’re helping to transform the lives of the people we support. From buying art supplies for children in care, to funding specialist equipment, as little as £10 can make a real difference.
Read the latest government guidance for households with possible coronavirus infection
We will continue to update the people we support and their families, our fundraisers and our workforce about changes to our services, events and activities following the latest government advice.
