They have been working with one of Digital Advantage\u2019s expert industry trainers, Paul Holloway, who has extensive media experience with big names like the BBC and Hits Radio, as well as experience working with young people, having been part of Pure Innovations.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.digitaladvantage.org.uk\/careers\/your-dna-manchester\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Digital Advantage<\/a>&nbsp;is an innovative charity that delivers outreach programmes into schools and colleges designed to give students an insight into creative and digital industries. They have also been working with the students at&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/sites.google.com\/digitaladvantage.org.uk\/bridgetalksback\/podcast\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bridge College<\/a>&nbsp;on their very own podcast:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/show\/5VUj9ewohM1bkFH8ijTSBu?si=f8f0b63ca02f4e6e\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bridge Pods Back<\/a>. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the Digital News Agency programme, students from Inscape House School got expert coaching from Paul on key stages of developing their own digital newsroom, becoming multi-media journalists, website developers and graphic designers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-style-simple-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;From creating a project identity and designing a logo to generating original content, the students took ownership of every aspect of their digital newsroom.\u201d&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<cite>&#8211; Digital Advantage<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-embed-handler wp-block-embed-embed-handler wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Inscapism Speaks, student podcast\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/_Oa7WQe8XOg?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-style-simple-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;Some of the students have discovered that they have hidden talents that they could develop to start a career in the creative or digital industries. Whether that is graphic design, photography, editing video or audio, these can all lead to real jobs in the digital economy.&#8221;<\/p>\n<cite>&#8211; Paul Holloway<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>For the first edition Finley, Maddie, Harry and Jake focused on stories relevant to them: the work experience students are doing with Mercedes-Benz in Stockport, a quiz show, and an exclusive interview with Judit Tolnai, the teacher in charge of the programme. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-style-simple-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;We loved working with Digital Advantage again this year and would love the chance to follow up with another project where the students from this cohort can support the new students to build on the Inscapism website, if funding allows.&#8221;<\/p>\n<cite>&#8211; Richard Nancollis, Post 16 Deputy Head at Inscape House School<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>This isn\u2019t our students\u2019 first experience into media, our young people already have their own school-wide magazine called&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/inscapism.co.uk\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Inscapism<\/a>. Coordinated by Judit, the students write their own stories, come up with comics, take on the editor role, and design the printed magazine.
