On the last day of June, one of our Inscape House School students was recognised at a noteworthy ceremony in London. After being among the eight finalists across the country for the Pupil Library Assistant of the Year Award 2023, Talia, Year 12, was represented by poet Laura Mucha and awarded a glass trophy due to her dedication and active involvement in the school library.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe work that Talia put into the finalist tasks was truly inspirational,\u201d shares Jenna-May Griffiths, Librarian at Inscape House School, who nominated the young lady for the prestigious Award.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u201cOne of them was to prepare a proposal for the librarian of how she would spend the library budget to maximise benefits for all the students. She was creative with her work. She did not just write down a plan. Talia organised a meeting with me and recorded it as part of her submission. I loved her innovative approach, and her spending ideas were fantastic!”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Following the ceremony, Talia had the chance to chat with all the authors in attendance about her own writing, receiving helpful advice on how to progress. Moreover, she was also gifted signed copies of all the authors\u2019 books. A huge congratulations to Talia!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
