It encourages children and young people from 5 to 18 years to come up with an official badge for LGBT+ History Month every year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alex Gould\u2019s winning design, featuring a love heart under a stethoscope, reflects the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/lgbtplushistorymonth.co.uk\/lgbt-history-month-2024\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">LGBT+ History Month theme in the UK this February &#8211; \u2018Medicine \u2013 #UnderTheScope\u2019<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-style-simple-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cWhen I discovered that the theme was medicine, the first thing that came to mind was being protected no matter what, and so I expressed this in my badge with the LGBTQ+ flag with a love heart under a stethoscope,\u201d shares Alex. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis highlights what the LGBTQ+ community has experienced and contributed to throughout history. I am so pleased this design has won. I truly am over the moon.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Alex left Inscape House School in 2023 and is currently doing an A-Level in Textiles and a GCSE in Graphic Communication at Pinc College, a specialist college for creative education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>About his involvement in the LGBT+ community whilst at school, St\u00e9phane Maitrejean, Phase Leader &#8211; Champions &amp; Explorers at Inscape House School, says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-style-simple-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cAlex benefited from access to our lunchtime club and from being able to speak with supportive staff and peers.
