Benefits of working for the Together Trust

Training

To assist staff with achieving their work goals, the Together Trust offers an induction programme for new recruits. The content of induction will be dependent upon the role appointed to. For professional staff the programme covers all aspects of working with children, young people and service users. Administrative and Management staff undertake a role appropriate induction. Full & part-time staff are encouraged through regular supervision and the annual appraisal process to access and participate in the relevant training courses provided by the Together Trust.

Additionally all staff are encouraged to undertake an NVQ relevant to their employment and the Training Department supports them to do this, whether it is in residential, education or administration.

Annual Leave

28 days (including 8 bank holidays) annual leave per year, rising to 33 after 5 years continuous service with the Together Trust.

Essential User Car Allowance

For senior and professional staff employed within Fostering, Social Work Services and other key posts, an allowance is offered for the use of their own vehicle in connection with their day-to-day employment.

Pension Schemes

A Group Personal Pension Plan, to which the Together Trust contributes, is available for permanent and temporary non teaching staff to join with a minimum employee contribution of 4%.

Teaching staff, including tutors, have access to the Teachers Pension Scheme.

Childcare Vouchers

All permanent staff are eligible to participate in the above and receive the benefits associated with these vouchers.

Healthcare

Membership of Simply Health (healthcare cash plan) is available to all staff.

Work-life Balance

Consideration will be given to applicants requesting to work on reduced hours or to job share. However, due to the nature of residential work, both full and part-time staff employed in this area will be required to work flexibly to cover the shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Employee Assistance Programme

In conjunction with BUPA the Together Trust offers a free confidential counselling and advisory service to its staff and their close family members, providing support and guidance on a range of issues from consumer rights, legal issues, debt or domestic matters - whenever and wherever it is needed.
