Safari Supper

The Tale of the ‘Better Together’ Safari by Mike Garner, Cheadle and Gatley Round Table!

This Halloween the girls of Cheadle and Gatley Ladies Circle had the opportunity to kick back and relax whilst the men from the Round Table laid on a spooky spread at a Halloween Safari Supper in aid of the Together Trust.

At 7pm on 30th October the ladies met for final briefings at the Kenilworth and were told to depart ready to arrive at their first venue for 7.45pm

Unbeknown to them the men had been working hard all afternoon to decorate four venues and prepare the feast for the evening.

All the venues had a spooky theme... ranging from the Adams Family to the Thriller Spectacular.

Crazy menus had been assembled... "slime" soup to “minced innards on a bed of rat droppings”. We will leave it to your imagination!

Each group of ladies travelled to three different venues for a different course and task... eventually everyone converged on the Ghoulish Grotto for a party into the small hours.

An absolutely fantastic time was had by all, made better... by being together and raising £250 for the Together Trust’s Better Together Week in the process!
