Haines House provides solution-focused residential care for a maximum of four young people aged up to 17 years. Developed to offer specialised, personal care, the service will ensure each user has a programme tailored to their needs which links all aspects of support, education, work and social integration. Each young person also has direct access to a clinical psychologist and support from a team of highly trained, experienced staff.
Haines House is the sister service of Pocket Nook, a Together Trust residential home accredited by the National Autistic Society for young people with autism in Bolton. Since 2009, Pocket Nook has been rated as ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted, with inspectors particularly praising the service’s levels of staff engagement and promotion of communication and independent living. It joins a suite of autism focused services provided by the charity including short breaks, shared care and special education provision.
“In recent years, we’ve seen a significant increase in demand for our autism specific services,” said Jill Sheldrake, Director of Social Care at the Together Trust. “As such, we’ve bucked the trend in the industry by opening a new facility. Haines House will build on the best practice developed by the care team and provide first-class autism specific care in the area.”
