In our National Autistic Society (NAS) accredited shared care provision for young people with autism and associated behaviours in Greater Manchester, the children and young people spend over 120 nights per year in placement and the remaining time with parents/carers in their family home.
There are up to three young people resident at any one time with up to six residents accessing the provision. All bedrooms are large single rooms and are adapted to the individual needs of each person.
Our short-term breaks provision for those with physical/learning disabilities in Greater Manchester aims to meet the needs of service users and their families. We can support service users with sensory impairments and complex health needs and offer the opportunity to develop and enhance services user's practical skills.
The Together Trust also operates short break care provisions for children, young people and vulnerable adults who have complex needs including physical and/or learning disablities, medical needs and communication difficulties. Recently awarded ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted, our short break service for young people with autism in Stockport is also accredited by NAS. The stays can be anything from one night to holiday of one or two weeks.
