Meridian's Next Top Model

Keen to get involved with a fundraising idea for Better Together Week, the staff at Meridian came up with Meridian’s Next Top Model. However there was a twist – all these models were male!

Four male members of staff dressed in ladies clothing, high heels, make up, wigs and false nails and tried to blend into the community before taking part in a beauty pageant at the Together Trust's Head Office.

As you can see from the picture they looked fantastic and therefore needed a burly minder to protect them on their journey.

Their first stop was a visit to Mitchell House which provides sheltered accommodation for older people. The residents here have never laughed so much and generously raised £200.

Finally on to Head Office for a parade around the building before bracing themselves for the highlight of the day – the pageant. Steve Hyde kindly hosted ‘Meridian’s next top model’ where the ladies were marked on legs, hair and makeup, charisma, posture and outfit.

It was a tough decision but there can only be one winner - Roberta (Rob Bossler) you are Meridian’s Next Top Model.

Approximately £300 has been raised from this event - thank you to everyone who took part.
