Giant story books

Students from Bridge College recently took part in a six week project with Stockport Action for Voluntary Youth to make a giant story book about our wonderful earth. Students worked with a variety of different art materials to create a story book titled ‘I love our earth’.

Each week the session leaders, Vicky and Laura, worked with the students to create a themed piece of art work. Topics included the sea, mountains, deserts, forests, flowers, autumn leaves, winter and the world from space. The pieces of art were then bound together to make a large book. The students who took part in the project thoroughly enjoyed it.

Vicky said; “It was a fantastic project. Everyone has worked extremely hard and the finished book looks amazing!”

The students from Bridge College will continue to work with Stockport Action for Voluntary Youth in the future and will next work on a project in the community to develop their confidence and independence skills.
