Leaving a gift in your Will

The Together Trust has been changing the lives of children, young people and adults with complex needs for the better since 1870.

What better way to ensure that this important work can continue than by leaving a gift to the Together Trust in your Will?

Thanks to a substantial legacy, the Together Trust was able to create a home for young adults with learning difficulties in Stockport called Pearce Lodge. The Pearce Lodge service helps young adults lead independent lives. Without the legacy it would have been impossible to create this much needed service. But it doesn’t need to be a large amount to make a big difference. Why not consider including the Together Trust in your Will?

Many of us don’t like to think about dying and see making a Will as tempting fate, but there are some really practical reasons for making a Will:

1. To make sure your money and assets go to the people you care about, rather than the taxman
2. To choose your own executors – so that you know your wishes are carried out
3. Legacies to charity are free from inheritance tax – which will significantly reduce or eliminate the tax burden on your estate.

Aside from all of these things, leaving a gift to charity in your Will is a positive way to make a difference to the world, long after you have gone.
