New Visions triathlon

New Visions, the Together Trust’s flexible community day service for adults with learning disabilities in Oldham, organised a triathlon for Better Together Week and raised £110.

The intrepid group of young people started with a 5km bike ride at ‘Wheels for All’ in Alexandra Park. It turned out to be quite a challenge with a number of hills! They then carried out a three mile walk around Daisy Nook Country Park and then swam 250m at Oldham Sports Centre.

All of these activities would be challenging enough on their own but it was quite a feat to complete them all in one day. Fortunately the sun shone and the young people and staff were undaunted, cheerfully completing each event with enthusiasm.

Hilary Feinmann from New Visions said “The day was fantastic! Everyone did really well and worked really hard, some parts were quite tough - especially the cycling, lots of steep hills!”

Well done everyone!
