Getting spooky together

There were all sorts of spooky goings-on during Halloween as part of Better Together Week, with young people and Together Trust staff getting together for creepy competitions, ghoulish games and spooky snacks.

At our Head Office, the senior management, more often seen in suits and traditional office dress, were transformed into creepy Halloween characters, travelling desk to desk with a creaking tea trolley loaded with homemade cakes and biscuits and hot drinks. Whether it was the lure of the delicious treats or their terrifying appearance, sales were brisk and they quickly sold out, raising nearly £70 in the process.

Over at Newbridge, the Together Trust’s Stockport-based day service for adults with learning disabilities, everyone threw themselves into Halloween activities with gusto. Everyone got creative, making fancy dress costumes and Halloween hats which were then judged in a hard-fought competition. Later everyone tucked into a themed dinner followed by Halloween cakes. In total Newbridge raised nearly £70 towards Better Together Week.

As night fell on Schools Hill, staff from Pendlebury House transformed the Together Trust’s Hall into a room fit for witches, ghosts and wizards and a Spooktacular event ensued. Over 70 people came along to enjoy hot food, spooky games and a fancy dress competition raising £118.50.

Well done everyone, we hope you had a scarily good time!
