The team at Marks & Spencer Shared Services organised a yummy bonfire bake sale in their office. Their colleagues obviously like cake because they managed to raise a fantastic £110. Not satisfied with this, the team are also volunteering their time with the creation of a sensory garden at Pocket Nook in Bolton.
Bollington Insurance declared a Better Together day across their eight sites and took suggestions from staff about ways to raise money. They had a whole range of activities including a bake sale, a ‘brew tax’ levied every time someone made a cuppa, a sweets in the jar competition and guess the baby competition. Big-hearted bosses donated a day’s annual leave and half a day’s annual leave as top prizes in a raffle and there was a site-wide dress down day. Some staff took it a step further and came in fancy dress, with one brave soul driving to work dressed as a tiger, complete with ears and face paint! A great day was had by all.
Staff from Simplyhealth were at the front of the queue when we requested help with manpower for Cheadle’s Big Bang, the bonfire and fireworks display at the Together Trust’s Schools Hill campus. The team donned hi-vis vests to act as marshalls at the event which depends fully on volunteer manpower.
Beaumont Robinson put their best foot forward to organise a sponsored walk around Bingley and Shipley where their offices are based. Around ten staff completed the circular walk which followed the canal, climbing up through three sets of locks and with stunning views across the local area, in about three and a half hours. In total they raised a fantastic £317.
A huge thanks to all our supporters for getting involved.
