Better Together Week

Better Together Week 2012

The Together Trust's Better Together Week aims to bring people together to have fun raising money for charity. You can fundraise in any way as long as it's together.

How you can help

In the words of Lennon and McCartney – come together!

We are asking everyone to get together with friends, family and colleagues and raise money to support our charity's work. Whether it’s a weird and wacky event or an old faithful coffee morning – anything goes! Here are a few ideas to get your creative juices flowing:

Sip together (coffee morning, bar crawl or afternoon tea party).

Dress down together (at work).

Dress up together (fancy dress party or non uniform day).

Play together (Wii tournament or three legged football match).

Work together (handcuffed to each other for the day, blindfolded assault course with sighted guide).

Dance together (Afternoon tea dance, school disco).

Stay silent together (Shhh… sponsored silence).

Spook together (It’s Halloween after all!).

Eat together (safari supper, come dine with me or cake sale).

See what our supporters took part in in Better Together Week 2011.

Why we need you

The Together Trust nurtures and encourages children, young people and adults with complex needs, helping them break through barriers, take control of their lives and experience happiness and a feeling of self-worth.

We believe that everybody deserves an equal chance in life. There are no exceptions.

This includes those with behavioural challenges, learning difficulties, physical disabilities and autism. Each one has the ability and the right to experience joy, happiness and hope. At the Together Trust we do everything in our power to make that happen and we’ve been doing it since 1870.

Our services cover residential homes, fostering, community services (including domiciliary care) and special schools and colleges.

Every year we help over 1000 people in need from childhood to adulthood in the North West, North Wales and beyond.

It doesn’t matter how big or small your event is - every penny raised will make a difference to the lives of children, young people and adults.

How we can support you

As well as friendly advice and tips on how to make your event a success, we can provide you with the following:

  • Sponsor forms
  • ‘In aid of’ event poster templates
  • Collection buckets
  • Stickers for supporters/participants
  • Certificate of achievement after the event.

Please contact us or phone 0161 283 4822 and we will arrange to send you all the information you need.

Throughout Better Together week the Fundraising Team will visit as many schools, groups and companies taking part as possible to say thank you. Please let us know what you have planned by completing and returning the form and we will do our best to get to your event!
