Music night hits all the right notes

Professional voice coach, Jennifer Casby, whose singing studio is based in Poynton, organised a fantastic music night at the Together Trust Centre to kick off Better Together Week in style.

Jennifer had lined up a full programme of local singers and performers including soloists, duos and two barbershop quartets all of whom sounded amazing. All styles of music were represented from pop and R&B, and folk to blues. The quality of all performances was really high, and very well received by an audience of over 100 people.
 
Guests enjoyed homemade curry, chilli and hotpot as well as drinks from the bar. There was also a raffle and silent auction with some amazing prizes on offer, all donated by local companies and individuals. The top prize in the silent auction was four singing lessons with Jennifer, for which bidding was fast and furious, the guests obviously being impressed with the vocal talents they could see on stage!
 
Many thanks to Jennifer for all of her hard work in coordinating this event and to all the volunteers and Together Trust staff involved on the night which raised a fantastic £1,300 for Better Together Week.
