Cakes and treats together

There is always a strong theme of cake baking, selling and eating as part of Better Together Week and this year was no exception.

The pupils at CYCES school put on their aprons to bake cakes, biscuits and treats for sale and did a great job of manning their busy stall.

Overdale invited friends, family and neighbours for a cake and a cuppa. Special guests included two members of the Romiley Lions who are keen Overdale supporters and as well as buying their cakes and cup of tea, donated a further £200.

Student volunteer Sarah Watson and her friends Becky, Beth, Jale, Victoria and Samantha organised a bake sale at her university selling cakes and treats to hungry students and raised £115. Pocket Nook held an open day inviting staff, service users, friends and family to a fantastic lunch.

These events raised over £500.
