Referrals

The Together Trust Fostering Service provides:

• Long-term families
• Short-term families
• Short breaks for children with a disability
• Respite family care
• Specialist placements for children with disabilities
• Remand family placements
• Mother and baby placements
• Emergency placements.

When local authorities wish to make a referral, the Together Trust has an experienced duty social worker who can take your referral during the day and out of office hours on 0161 283 4800.

You will be asked to provide some basic information about the child and his or her placement needs. The duty social worker should be able to tell you if we have a suitable family available. If you wish to proceed, then the Together Trust social worker will discuss the referral with the carer. If all parties wish to proceed and the funding arrangements have been agreed, then the placement planning process can begin.
