Parent Partnership Services

No parent should feel alone when it comes to arranging suitable education for their child and children with special educational needs (SEN) are no exception.

Parent Partnership Services (PPS) offer information, advice and support to parents and carers of children and young people with SEN. They have a role in ensuring parents’ views are heard, understood and respected.

Services provided by PPS are free, impartial and confidential. We aim to increase parental confidence, giving parents the ability to make informed choices and decisions.

Support provided will vary depending on each individual, but we can explain how special educational needs are identified and assessed, who parents should talk to, and can inform parents/carers of their rights and responsibilities.

We also offer individual support such as home visits, attendance at meetings and reviews, support with liaison between agencies and information about joining parent support groups.
