Working with parents

At Inscape House, we work closely with families and listen to parents’ wishes and aspirations. We communicate with parents in many different ways:

  • Home-school books
  • Informal meetings
  • Annual reviews
  • Open days and parents' evenings
  • Newsletters.

All our parents receive a handbook, which provides more information about these and other ways of sharing information with us.

We provide many different forms of support to our families. Our Extended Services programme includes:

  • After school and holiday activities
  • Activities for the whole famiily
  • Sibling groups
  • Workshops and activities for parents
  • Advice on challenging behaviour.

We want our parents and families to feel part of Inscape House and to join in the life of our services. Parent governors represent parental views on our governing bodies and Inscape Friends, our parents association, provides fundraising and other activities that our families can take part in.
