Inscape House School (Salford)

Inscape House Salford is a non-maintained, day special school.

Inscape House has been successfully meeting the needs of children and young people with autism spectrum conditions (ASC) since 1992. In addition to the main base in Walkden, close to the East Lancashire Road, Inscape House Salford has a post 16 centre in Parsonage Road in Withington called the Russell Centre.

The school meets the needs of young people with ASC (including autism and Asperger’s syndrome) and other social communication difficulties aged 5 to 19 years. Currently, young people are placed with us by many different authorities in the North West of England.

At Inscape House Salford we:

  • Recognise potential
  • Enable learning
  • Maximise independence
  • Celebrate achievement.

We accept and value each young person and their individual qualities. We recognise their strengths and differences and understand how their needs may change over time. We work in partnership with families and promote inclusion through the creation of a safe, calm and enjoyable learning environment.

Following a rigorous process of quality assurance specifically focused around service practice within our autism services, the Together Trust is delighted to have achieved recognition from the National Autistic Society by achieving Autism Accreditation for Inscape House Salford. This demonstrates to service user’s families and commissioning officers the quality of service provided by the organisation.
