Early Intervention Services

 

Working with our community teams to offer universal and targeted support we bring together a host of professionals.

They include speech and language therapists, teachers, occupational therapists, clinical and educational psychologists, play therapists and social workers to provide Early Intervention and Complex and Additional Needs Services, known as ‘EICAN’.

This work is based around person and family centred approaches with a focus on safeguarding and empowerment. Our specialist services include:

  • Parenting support – individual/group support sessions
  • Family group meetings/conferences
  • Supervised family contact services
  • Conflict resolution services
  • Direct work with young people to support complex needs and emotional resilience through individual and group work sessions overseen by a Clinical Psychologist
  • Activity/crisis breaks for young people and/or families
  • Intervention work with families in crisis, to include working around issues of drug/alcohol misuse, family breakdowns, bereavement and mental health issues
  • Support for children and young people who are not receiving educational services.

We also offer the following assessments through our social work services:

  • Risk assessments
  • Assessment of need
  • Assessment of attachment
  • Sibling attachments
  • Therapeutic assessments
  • Parenting assessments
  • Independent fostering assessments.
