New Visions Oldham

The Together Trust opened a new day service for disabled adults in Shaw, Oldham in early October 2010. New Visions, which is located at the Shaw and District Disabled Association on Mill Yard Square, provides a programme of activities three days a week.

New Visions offers a person centred service to adults, and delivers a wide range of creative and vocational activities. Each service user works in partnership with New Visions and their carer to develop a tailored programme of activities that meets the specific needs, choices and aspirations of the individual. Through New Visions, users are also able to access community services within the local neighbourhood, with the support of highly trained and experienced staff.

“The new service provides a warm, safe environment for disabled adults and one that is much needed for the Oldham area,” said Lisa Michie, manager at New Visions. “As well as giving service users a space to socialise with their peers, it enables them to take part in activities and enterprises, and make a positive contribution to the wider community.”

New Visions runs on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays and offers flexible and individual placements with funding options and support packages.
