Bridge College get their dancing shoes on

Bridge College Entry students held a very successful ‘So you think you can dance’ competition at Norbury Church recently. The congregation of Norbury Church made students and staff extremely welcome as always, letting us use their facilities and providing us with refreshments. They also joined us for lunch, watched and supported all of the performances and joined in with the free dance at the end.

Six acts performed in total. There were two very energetic solos to ‘The Wanted’ and ‘Oasis’ which included moon walks, body spins and flips.

M danced to an up beat version of ‘Wacka Wacka’ by Shakira with M accompanying on the drums.

K enchanted us with beautiful Bollywood dancing.

Johnathan and Matthew impressed us with their version of ‘Americana’.

No-one could fail to be entertained by S and K in full costume, who danced to ‘Superstition’ by Stevie Wonder.

We had three very professional judges who awarded the students a red or gold star before allocating points out of ten.

Given the high standard of the performances it was not easy to choose the best acts but the judges reached a decision and awarded Johnathan and Matthew 3rd prize and K 2nd prize. W was declared the winner for his excellent moon walking.
